In this step, we clear the area that your new Egress System will go. Note that we take special care to keep the effected area as preserved as possible.

This is what your Egress System looks like after we have cut out the section for it and placed a frame in its place for the window. Note the little or no debris inside of this home.
Step 4
In this step, we are installing the new window. After placing the window in its place, we then make sure that it is properly weather sealed. This will keep energy levels low and keep them varments from entering the home through your new Egress System.
Step 5
Depending on the type of Egress wall that you choose, your new System will look something like this. In this photo, the home owner chose a basic metal retaining wall with some pebbles at the bottom.
Step 6
In this step, we install a safety device called a “hinged cover”. This keeps your pets and children from falling into the Egress Window area, but still enabling you to escape your basement in an emergency from the inside.
